About A Welcoming Home Psychotherapy

Healing Begins with Feeling Safe, Seen, and Heard

Founder and Registered Psychotherapist

For most of my life, I questioned my worth. I spent years doubting myself, believing I wasn’t capable of doing hard things, and trying to live up to other people’s expectations instead of discovering who I truly was. Somewhere along the way, I lost confidence in my own voice. I wondered if I was enough, if I was lovable as I was, and why life seemed to come so naturally to everyone else. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t broken, I had simply learned to see myself through experiences that made me question my value.

Everything began to change when I started therapy. For the first time in what felt like forever, I felt truly seen, heard, and understood. Finally a space where I could just be me, and that was good enough. Therapy helped me reconnect with myself and showed me that healing wasn’t about becoming someone new, it was about coming home to who I had always been.

That experience is what inspired me to create A Welcoming Home Psychotherapy. My hope is to offer others the same sense of safety, compassion, and belonging that changed my own life. Here, therapy isn’t about fixing you, because you were never broken. It’s about having someone walk alongside you, gently exploring the parts of yourself that may have been silenced by stress, trauma, or self-doubt - and helping you rediscover your voice, your strength, and your sense of self.

Our name reflects what we believe at our core: therapy should feel like a welcoming home - a place where you can simply be. A space rooted in warmth, authenticity, and acceptance, where you never have to hide who you are or face your journey alone.

What Starting Therapy Can Look Like

We Get To Know You
Your journey is unique, and we want to hear it. Understanding your experiences is at the heart of meaningful therapy.

We Create a Plan Tailored To You
Together, we take a step back to understand the bigger picture- exploring the patterns, experiences, and contributing factors. From there, we collaboratively create a personalized and flexible therapy plan that supports your unique needs and goals.

We Help You Grow
We walk alongside you as you navigate life’s challenges, explore what feels heavy, and try out new perspectives and behaviours. Each session builds on the last, helping you reconnect with what truly matters and move toward a life that reflects your values - adjusting our approach as you grow and develop new skills along the way.

Evidence-Based Therapy Approaches We Integrate

Our therapists draw from a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed psychotherapy approaches depending on your individual needs, goals, emotional experiences, and nervous system. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, we tailor therapy to support meaningful and lasting change in a way that feels collaborative and personalized.
